Have a fab weekend!

Over this weekend, please read Chapters 15-19 of the Iliad, and if you want, go ahead and finish it, because that's the assignment for Thursday! :)

And for your grammar assignment: please do all the odd problems of exercises A & B, on page 9. You'll be capitalizing fiends in no time!

Opa! Greekfest was loud, delicous and a bit incongruous (didn't know the Greek orthodox church was such an advocate of bellydancing). We noshed on souvlaki, spanakopita, baklava, koulouria, kourambieda, kataifi and finiki, plus some highly caffinated coffee. We took a respite in the ornate and gilded sanctuary and took some lovely pictures. I didn't dance. Sto Kalo!

Upon entering the Greek fest's crowded room filled with stands selling jewelry and other various things, Tera and I were greeted by the happy babble of shoppers. After examining intricate little vases, jingling belly dancing sashes, and small jewel encrusted animals, we escaped to plaka. There we spotted the dancers skipping to and fro merrily on the dance floor, and seriously considered joining them until a tempting aroma captured our attention. Making our way along the line of food vendors we observed many Greek dishes such as saganaki, spankopita, souvlaki, and many others, we lingered near the loukoumades stand where the pleasant scent similar to funnel cakes drifted about us. We enjoyed the Greek atmosphere and left satisfied.
